Genital Waxing

If there’s anything you absolutely have to know about genital waxing, it’s that the products you use for the genital area are not the same as those you use on the rest of your body. Using the wrong wax on your genitals can even result in the need for a quick trip to the ER.

The most common method of genital waxing for women is the Brazilian (insert link?). It’s usually a mistake to use a soft strip instead of hard wax.
Tea tree oil can prevent infection. Keeping the skin exfoliated will help prevent ingrown hairs—as will keeping a good pair of tweezers handy.
Men who do genital waxing usually turn to the method when they find that shaving won’t work: Stubble can be quite uncomfortable.

When waxing the scrotum, the skin must be held tight as the wax is applied, or there will be pulled skin without removed hair. And since the hair grows in different directions, each application should follow only one small strip of hair growing in a single direction. Genital waxing for men can take up to four hours.
